On Wednesday, May 7th at 7 p.m. the Sogkonate Garden Club presents a talk by Tiverton Horticulturist, Sean Conway, about the gardens of noted local Landscape Designer Lloyd Lawton.  Conway will discuss Lawton’s unique style featuring large native stone, a signature plant palette, and specialized pruning techniques that made Lawton’s gardens instantly recognizable and gave them the ability to stand the test of time. 

Five of Lawton’s gardens were on the popular July 2024 Sogkonate Garden Club tour. This is one of three historical lectures presented by the Sogkonate Garden Club in recognition of our 50th and the town’s 350th anniversary.
